Anyway, I have serious concerns about the dentures themselves and the alveoloplasty I was charged for. On the bill is a hefty fee for alveoloplasty in four quadrants. However, there are a couple of very high bone ridges, particularly between the two frontmost upper sockets, and the outer edge of one socket was left sharp enough that it punched through the gum over the weekend (5 days after extraction). He doesnt seem to have done any work at all between the sockets; at least I came away last week with stitches in only one spot.
A decent but serviceable denture could be $500-$600 while a good one (better one) couild be $1,000. There is a guy at DentalTown who brags that he charges patients $10,000.
The dentures did not fit well, either. I went in 3 days after the extraction because I was developing excruciating sore spots (one of which turned out to be the bone sawing through my gum) and the dentist did a soft reline. That decreased the discomfort, but exacerbated the placement problem, and also left the upper plate covering my soft palate over 3mm thick in places. You can imaging what that does to my speech.
Profitable- By increasing the efficiency of your office the Assurance Denture service can increase your revenue per minute run rate up to four times over the process of making a replacement denture from scratch.
